Scholarship and Research Day

8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Finley Gymnasium
Free and open to the public

The Westbrook College of Health Professions will host its annual Fall Research and Scholarship Symposium on Friday, December 7, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the Portland Campus.

The day will start with a keynote address at 8:00 AM given by Dr. Jen Morton DNP, MPH, RN, entitled:  "Exercises in Futility or Lessons in Humility: Community Based Research in Unfamiliar Places."

The Symposium includes oral presentations from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM in WCHP Lecture Hall, which will be streamed live to Blewett 006. Lunch will be served in Finley Recreation Center from 11:15-12 noon and the poster session will begin promptly at noon.

A program including each presenter's abstract will be provided electronically prior to Friday, as only a limited number will be printed to be available at each venue and those will be reserved for guests; however, the schedule of day's presentations is attached.

This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the scholarly work of WCHP and COP students and faculty and to celebrate their accomplishments with them. Everyone has worked extremely hard to prepare their presentations and will appreciate our attention to their efforts. Please make a point of attending.
