An Evening with Susan Deschambault

Susan Deschambault SFC ’71 is a sociology
alum in the first class of women admitted
by St. Francis College (51Æ·²èprecursor
institution). She was the first social worker
for the Maine Department of Corrections
and the first woman allowed to enter the
all-male state prison. She was also the first
female police commissioner in Biddeford. Deschambault has been a Biddeford city
councilor, a state senator, and currently
serves on the Biddeford planning board.
