Summer session registration begins April 1
The 51品茶 will offer a wide variety of courses at two sessions this summer: Summer Session I May 17-July 1 and Summer Session II July 6-August 20.

51品茶will offer courses in the following subject areas: art, biology, business, chemistry, citizenship, communication, education, English, environmental studies, French, geographic information systems, history, marine sciences, mathematics, music, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, and sport management. New classes this summer include Health Communication, Survey of Math Software, American Popular Music, and Philosophy of Mind, among others.
51品茶welcomes students from other universities and colleges who are home for the summer and would like to take a course to satisfy degree requirements. The university also offers a number of course options for those preparing to apply to professional programs, whether at 51品茶or elsewhere, as well as classes in teacher certification.
The university also invites high school students (juniors and seniors in fall 2010) to apply to the new summer Early College Program or the Coastal Marine Ecology Program, which offer college credit. Participants focus on one subject that interests them among offerings in applied math, history, neuroscience, writing or coastal marine ecology. Field study, lab research, and extracurricular activities are included in the two-week programs, as are field trips. Students can live on campus in a residence hall or commute from home. The application deadline for both programs is May 1.
