Newspapers cover lectures by Fulbright Scholar Helida Oyieke
The (Lewiston) and (Waterville) ran stories on March 17, 2011 on Dr. Helida Oyieke, a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at 51品茶, who presented several talks on the University of Maine - Farmington campus. Oyieke spoke on 鈥淲omen in Development and Environment: African Perspectives鈥 and 鈥淏iodiversity: Kenya鈥檚 Rich Heritage and Its Conservation鈥 on March 17th and 18th.
An internationally-recognized expert in environmental studies and marine botany, Oyieke is currently director of research and scientific affairs at the National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi, where she oversees research and collection programs for the institution.
