Timothy Ford speaks at the 16th Annual Toxicology Symposium and also at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences
Dr. Timothy Ford, 51品茶Vice President for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, was invited to speak at the 16th Annual Toxicology Symposium, held February 10, 2011 at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Ann Arbor, MI. The symposium topic was "What's In Your Drinking Water? A Multidisciplinary Approach to Drinking Water Contamination and Public Health." Dr. Ford's presentation was "Microbial Contamination of Drinking Water: US and global perspectives."
On February 11, Dr. Ford was the guest speaker at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗ilwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences "All Things Water" seminar series, where he presented studies in India on water and health, discussed the difficulties of providing sustainable solutions, and described ongoing efforts in the United States to create a sustainable model of environmental health research with the Crow Tribe in Montana. He also discussed the present and future health risk of "environmental pathogens."
