First-year women's cross country team member Michaela Moran, an applied exercise science major, was featured in a Sept. 20, 2012 Portland Press Herald Column by Steve Solloway. 

Solloway explains "Moran was the lead 51Æ·²èrunner in a season-opening duel with St. Joseph's College, finishing second overall. She won the 51Æ·²èInvitational two weekends ago. Quite the debut and encore for a novice runner who stands all of 5-foot-3."
