Edward Bilsky presents at the Conference on Undergraduate Research

Edward Bilsky, Ph.D., associate provost for research and scholarship and professor of pharmacology in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, recently presented at the the Council on Undergraduate Research Biennial National Conference. His session was titled 鈥淓xpanding Undergraduate Research Opportunities Using a Cost Effective Center Model鈥.  The interactive case presentation detailed how the 51品茶 utilizes the centers of excellence model to grow student research in an era of fiscal uncertainty. The session emphasized cost effective collaborations across UNE's colleges and programs, as well as with external partners.

The Council on Undergraduate Research  and its affiliated colleges, universities, and individuals share a focus on providing undergraduate research opportunities for faculty and students at all institutions serving undergraduate students. CUR holds a biennial conference in even years. The conference brings together faculty, administrators, policy makers, representatives of funding agencies and other stakeholders with an interest in doing and promoting undergraduate research. It features over 100 workshops, presentations by representatives of funding agencies, social interactions, and poster presentations.
