Nine undergrads contribute to research presented at Bishop鈥檚 University in Quebec
Nine 51品茶undergraduate researchers contributed to work that resulted in a seminar presented by Amy Keirstead, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics, at Bishop鈥檚 University in Lennoxville, Quebec, on November 1, 2013.
Robyn Gaudet (Chemistry, 鈥13), Annie Leslie (Neuroscience, 鈥13), Sean Naughton (Biochemistry and Medical Biology, 鈥13), Amber Zablowsky (Medical Biology, 鈥11), Tyler Rioux (Medical Biology, 鈥13), Emily Wells (Chemistry, 鈥14), Lindsey LaPointe (Chemistry-Secondary Education, 鈥15), Peter Caradonna (Biochemistry and Medical Biology, 鈥13) and Regina Scalise (Chemistry, 鈥13) contributed to Keirstead鈥檚 research activities at 51品茶that investigate the use of ionic liquids for a variety of green chemistry and nanotechnology applications.
Keirstead鈥檚 talk was titled 鈥淥nce Upon a Photon: Using Photochemistry to tell the Ionic Liquids Story.鈥 Also contributing to the research were Jerome Mullin, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Chemistry of Physics, and Henry Tracy, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Southern Maine.
