Three classes of student artwork on exhibit at Campus Center
Student artwork from three art classes are on display in the 51品茶Campus Center until April 29, 2013.
Students of the Printmaking class, taught by Corliss Chastain, B.A., MFA, an adjunct faculty member, are displaying reduction block prints with the theme of the "Hamsa," or "Hand of Miriam" from the Jewish culture, a symbol that is traced back to Islam's "Hand of Fatima."
Student works of still lifes of fruits and vegetables are exhibited from the Basic Watercolor class, taught by Professor of Art and Art Department Founder Charles Thompson, B.S., MFA.
Also showcased are large still lifes that focus on the use of complementary colors. These works were created by students in the Painting I class, taught by David Wells, B.A., MFA, an adjunct faculty member.
