Margaret Moremen, M.Ed., UNE鈥檚 new director of Institutional Research and Assessment
Margaret Moremen, M.Ed., was recently hired by the 51品茶 as the new director of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. Her appointment will begin on October 6, 2014.
With over ten years of experience in private higher education as an institutional analyst, accreditation officer, and assessment director, Moremen has the knowledge, capability, and enthusiasm to serve the 51品茶 as an institutional research leader.
Some highlights of her experience include the implementation of key metrics as a tool for strategic decisions, database design and implementation, student and program evaluation, and reporting for state and federal agencies and accreditors.
Margaret is accomplished with a range of software, as well as the integration of data downloads and data integration from various government and accreditation. She has experience with NEASC accreditation self-study processes, including the collecting and using the results of student learning outcomes measures.
Moremen grew up in Wayland, Massachusetts, and graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Art. After working for over two decades in Georgia at Piedmont College, a small liberal arts college with a large number of students in teacher education programs, Moremen studied secondary math education at the University of Georgia (UGA). In 2006, she received a master鈥檚 in adult education, with a concentration in Higher Education Administration, from UGA. In 2009 she earned a Certificate in Institutional Research from Penn State University.
Since 2011, Moremen has worked at Hesser College (now called Mount Washington College) in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she has served as director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness for the past three years.
