Marilyn Gugliucci presents award at Gerontological Society of America鈥檚 annual meeting

As the chair of the Health Sciences Section of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), Marilyn Gugliucci, Ph.D., professor and director of Geriatrics Education and Research in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, presided over the section鈥檚 awards session at the annual GSA meeting, held in Washington, D.C., in November.

Gugliucci presented the Joseph T. Freeman award, granted each year to a prominent physician in the field of aging, to Desmond O鈥橬eill, M.D., of Trinity College, Dublin. O鈥橬eill was the 2012-2013 UNECOM Humanism in Aging Leadership Award recipient.
