Megan Landry interviewed about the demand for trained health informatics professionals
Megan Landry, M.H.A., B.S.N., program manager for the 51品茶鈥檚 health informatics program in the Online College of Graduate and Professional Studies, was recently interviewed for an article about the growing field of data scientist jobs in health care.
The article, titled, 鈥淒esperately Seeking Data,鈥 details the need for trained information technology professionals who have a clinical background. Landry, who helped launch UNE鈥檚 Master of Science in Health Informatics degree, said employers are already calling. 鈥淭hey鈥檙e pleading,鈥 she said, 鈥渇or employees or interns with experience in healthcare data analytics or some variation.鈥
