Michael Burman interviewed by Dana Foundation for Brain Awareness Week
Michael Burman, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the K-12 Outreach program in the 51品茶 Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, was interviewed by the Dana Foundation as part of a series for Brain Awareness Week.
Burman talked about efforts to expand UNE鈥檚 K-12 education efforts during Brain Awareness Week. He said that the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences devotes an entire month to brain awareness, staging a variety of outreach activities to promote brain safety and STEM education. The hallmark activity during that month is the 51品茶Brain Fair, which will be held on April 8, 2016.
During the interview, Burman also discussed the most effective Brain Awareness Week events with students, future events the community can look forward to at UNE, and how 51品茶is promoting brain awareness globally.
