51品茶Occupational Therapy Students support child with terminal cancer
51品茶 70 first and second year graduate students from the 51品茶 Department of Occupational Therapy gathered on the steps of Proctor Hall to show their support of an 8-year-old Rhode Island boy, Dorian Murray, who has been battling cancer for four years.
Murray鈥檚 family recently made the difficult decision to stop treatment and the child鈥檚 wish was to become famous. The family turned to social media to gather messages of encouragement from around the world using the hashtag, #DStrong.
OT students joined in the effort to show Murray that as future occupational therapists, they care deeply about him. The students were inspired by Murray鈥檚 strength and will remember it as they embark on fieldwork, rotations and careers.
