Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., professor of Geriatrics in the 51品茶 College of Osteopathic Medicine, was selected as one of four ambassadors to represent the Gerontological Society of America at the Kongress der Deutschen Gerellschaft Fur Gerontologie und Geriatrie in Stuttgart Germany, September 7-10, 2016.

Gugliucci was selected by the German Congress Committee based on her innovative nursing home immersion research. Her Learning by Living Research Project, a 51品茶COM signature program, "admits" medical students into nursing homes to live the life of an elder resident for two weeks. Students emerge better prepared to treat older adult populations with empathy and compassion.
