UNE鈥檚 Meghan May interviewed about flaws in Zika virus testing
Meghan May, Ph.D., associate professor of biomedical sciences in the 51品茶鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine, was interviewed by the Portland Press Herald about the flaws in the tests currently being used for Zika virus.
The article discussed a lab in Westbrook, Maine working to develop an antibody that could be used in diagnostic tests kits. 鈥淲ith an antibody, it鈥檚 much less likely the virus is going to escape detection,鈥 May said. She published research on Zika in September.
