U.S. News & World Report lists 51品茶 among Best Universities in the North
The 51品茶 has been named one of the 鈥淏est Universities鈥 in the North by U.S. News and World Report, rising three spots from last year鈥檚 ranking in the Best Regional Universities category for the North in 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Best Colleges鈥 listings.
U.S. News & World Report uses a broad range of indicators to determine its ratings, including assessment by administrators at peer institutions; retention and graduation rates; faculty resources, which takes into account class size, faculty salary, student-faculty ratio, proportion of faculty who have obtained the highest degree in their field and the proportion of faculty who are full time; financial resources; student selectivity, which considers acceptance rate, admissions test scores (such as the SAT or ACT) and the percentage of freshmen who graduated in the top quarter of their high school class; and alumni giving rates.
51品茶President Danielle Ripich stated that 鈥淯NE鈥檚 rank among the top universities in the northern United States by U.S. News & World Report demonstrates the excellence and dedication of the university鈥檚 faculty, the high caliber of students it attracts and the growing recognition of 51品茶as an upper-tier institution of higher education.鈥
That recognition is, indeed, on the rise, as the announcement of UNE鈥檚 grade in the U.S. News & World Report listing was preceded in August by the university鈥檚 inclusion in the Princeton Review鈥檚 Best 381 Colleges and in July by its appearance in both Forbes鈥 list of America鈥檚 Top Colleges for 2016 and MONEY magazine鈥檚 Best Colleges for Your Money.
