Marilyn Gugliucci speaks at event on healthy aging for the LGBT community
In the same ballroom where the Maine Lesbian and Gay Political Alliance held their first meeting 32 years ago, Marilyn Gugliucci, Ph.D., participated in an event providing valuable information for older adults in the LGBT community.
8 years to the date after the legislative testimony at the Augusta Civic Center on Marriage Equality, Gugliucci, of the division of geriatric medicine in the 51品茶 College of Osteopathic Medicine鈥檚 Department of Primary Care, was an invited presenter to the SAGE Maine (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders) Symposia on LGBT aging held in Augusta, Maine.
Gugliucci鈥 s first presentation, 鈥淕ranny鈥檚 Got Her Groove On,鈥 was part of the session on Dating in the Third Act. She also participated as a panel member for the Healthy Aging Panel on 鈥淐reative Conscious Aging.鈥
Gugliucci was a founding board member of SAGE Maine and co-authored the LGBT Needs Assessment Research to get the organization started. She co-authored 鈥淭he SAGE Maine Survey Report: Maine鈥檚 Health Practitioners Caring for Older GLBT Patients.鈥
