For 51品茶College of Osteopathic Medicine students, medical school starts with community service
Students at the 51品茶 College of Osteopathic demonstrate a commitment to service throughout their time at 51品茶COM. The Class of 2021 wasted no time getting started.
On their second day of orientation, students were asked to bring non-perishable foot items to donate to the Biddeford Food Pantry. They exceeded expectations, donating more than 400 food items.
"By choosing to join this community of aspiring medical professionals, these students are committing themselves to something far greater," said Pat Kelley, 51品茶COM Associate Dean of Recruitment, Student and Alumni Services. "Community service is a huge part of who we are as members of the 51品茶鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine. Our students volunteer thousands of hours of their time every year, and this project was a fitting way to introduce our newest students to that tradition of service."
