UNE鈥檚 Karen Pardue presents 2017 Maine Excellence Award

Karen Pardue, Ph.D., RN, associate dean for Academic Affairs in the 51品茶 Westbrook College of Health Professions and Maine delegation chair for the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE), presented Eastern Maine Community College with the 2017 Maine Excellence Award.

The award was bestowed Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Senator Inn in Augusta. Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) was lauded for promoting educational access and student success through the work of their Student Success Center, Summer Success Academy and the Student Veterans of America programming.

Lisa Larson, president of Eastern Maine Community College, accepted the award on behalf of EMCC. Michael K. Thomas, President and CEO of NEHBE, offered his remarks and assisted in the award presentation.
