UNE鈥檚 Karen Pardue receives Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award

51品茶 Interim Dean of the Westbrook College of Health Professions Karen Pardue, Ph.D., RN, ANEF, has been recognized by Nova Southeastern University for her accomplishments in the field of nursing.

The award is presented annually to alumni who have demonstrated significant scholarship or advancement to their profession, positively impacted their community and represented Nova Southeastern University in its best light. Pardue was specifically recognized by the university鈥檚 College of Nursing for her contributions to interprofessional education (IPE) theory. Her creation of the Pardue model for IPE, a pre-clinical educational framework, has served to inform the design and implementation of UNE鈥檚 innovative undergraduate IPE coursework. 

Pardue鈥檚 academic leadership has also been recognized through her engagement with the National League for Nursing and the New England Board of Higher Education.
