Dr. Sarah Vincent is the Pre-Pharmacy Faculty Mentor and Associate Clinical Professor at the School of Pharmacy.  Dr. Vincent has established a pharmacy practice site in an ambulatory Integrative Medicine clinic at St. Mary's Health System in Lewiston, Maine.  She is a 2021 Fellow of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, spending over 1000 hours in study of integrative medicine practices.  Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Vincent earned her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011 from Creighton University through their web-based program and her B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Maine in 2003.  Before joining UNE, Dr. Vincent was the Pharmacy Manager for a home infusion company in Maine.  While here, Dr. Vincent was tasked with opening, staffing, licensing, and achieving accreditation for the facility.  She also has experience as a community pharmacist.  Her personal interests include spending time with her 3 children, husband, and 2 golden doodles, reading, and playing tennis.

Research

Research interests

Dr. Vincent's research interests include the study of interventions in pre-professional and professional programs of study which impacts markers of success. Some examples of interventions studied include living learning communities and measures to reduce burnout. Other research interests include creating a new model of pharmacy practice within an integrative medicine clinic utilizing medication therapy management with an emphasis of patient education in integrative approaches to care.
