Direct Costs

Direct costs are items directly related to studies such as tuition, program fees, and general service fees and are for a single year of the four-year Doctor of Pharmacy program. Tuition costs and fees are updated annually.

Indirect Costs

Indirect costs are included in the student's financial aid budget. These are not direct charges from the university, but allowances that are given to cover expenses the student may have while attending school to cover the months the student is enrolled each year of the program. Students are encouraged to review their budgeted amounts and plan wisely to ensure expenses are adequately covered.

Indirect expenses are based on the following amounts per month, for the months enrolled:

  • Living Expenses: $1,950/month (housing, food, utilities)
  • Transportation Costs: $400/month
  • Personal/Miscellaneous Costs: $350/month
  • Rotation costs: $250/month

These costs will vary depending on specific courses the student is taking and where/how individual materials are purchased. Students are required to purchase a laptop computer. For the first year cost of attendance, in addition to $800 budgeted for books and supplies, a one-time technology allowance of $1,500 is also included.

The 51Æ·²èSchool of Pharmacy offers scholarships to incoming students. Determination of eligibility is made during the admission process. This scholarship is renewable each year you are enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and remain in good academic standing.

Health Insurance

Students are required to enroll in UNE's Student Medical Insurance Plan unless proof of comparable insurance is demonstrated and waiver is completed online.

College of Osteopathic Medicine

All Other Graduate Programs

7/1/2024–8/30/2024

The cost for UNE's 2024–2025 annual health insurance policy for graduate/professional students (except first-year College of Osteopathic Medicine students) is $5,264 for the 9/01/2024–8/31/2025 coverage period. Due to a longer academic year, the health insurance rate for first-year College of Osteopathic Medicine students is $6,141 for coverage beginning on 7/1/2024–8/31/2024. 

New students whose program (M.A.T., PA, M.S.O.T.) begins in Summer 2024 are charged $1,257 for the summer coverage period of 05/22/2024–8/31/2024, and then the annual coverage rate of $5,264 (with the fall tuition billing) for coverage from 9/1/2024–8/31/2025. Students enrolled in the PSM in Ocean Food Systems Program are charged $1,257 for the summer coverage period of 5/20/2024–8/31/2025, and then the annual coverage rate of $5,264 for coverage from 9/1/2024–8/31/2025. New students should waive/enroll for the summer semester (beginning in April) and then re-enroll/waive for the following academic year, starting on July 1.
