Welcome from Norm O’Reilly, College of Business Dean

At the 51Æ·²è’s College of Business, you’ll find a dynamic and innovative learning environment that’s as exciting as it is transformative. As the University’s newest college, we are driven by a bold vision to become a leading comprehensive business school. Our mission is to create a collaborative community that deeply cares for our students and our team, preparing you for the ever-evolving world of business.

We offer a student-centered and technology-driven education across eight majors, including highly-valued business disciplines like marketing, accounting, finance, sport leadership and management, and business administration. Additionally, we provide unique programs tailored to our environment, such as sustainability, marine entrepreneurship, and outdoor business and innovation. We cultivate an ecosystem that promotes innovation, teamwork, ethical leadership, global perspectives, and social responsibility.

In today’s exciting yet competitive business environment, the skills sought by employers change quickly. As a national leader in experiential business education, we prepare our graduates to excel in this landscape through degree programs that facilitate double majors and minors, as well as a dedicated focus on internships.

You’ll benefit from our diverse team of faculty and professional staff. Our faculty are teaching-focused educators with industry connections and a record of thought leadership required by an ACBSP-accredited business school. As dedicated scholars and industry leaders, our team of professionals bring their connections, knowledge, and research into the classroom. They are not just your instructors – they are your mentors and champions.

In pursuit of our experiential learning-focused mission, the College of Business has created two industry-focused centers to provide students with tailored career development. In the Center for Sales Excellence and the Center for Sport and Business Innovation, students participate in numerous curricular and extracurricular interprofessional activities designed to expand learning, build skills, and enhance networks. Imagine working on paid projects through our industry-focused centers or engaging in team projects that mirror real-world business scenarios. These experiences are integral parts of our college that will shape you into a well-rounded business leader.

As you stand at the threshold of your academic journey, I invite you to consider the incredible opportunities that await you at UNE’s College of Business. Here, you will not only gain a degree but also develop the skills, connections, and confidence needed for success in the dynamic world of business. Whether you dream of climbing the corporate ladder, launching your own startup, or making a positive impact through sustainable practices, we are here to help turn those dreams into reality. Make your first great business connection at UNE.

Kind Regards,
