Green Dot Bystander Intervention at UNE

The Green Dot Bystander Initiative is a nationally recognized bystander awareness and intervention program that is . It challenges communities to try new approaches to changing campus culture to help stop power-based personal violence on college campuses and many other communities.

A Green Dot is any behavior, choice, or action that promotes safety and communicates intolerance for violence — your individual choice at any given moment to make our campus safer. It is a training and programming strategy that provides tools for community members to be effective bystanders in an effort to help prevent gender violence.

The 51Æ·²è is excited to implement Green Dot on our campuses and provide opportunities for students, faculty, and professional staff to become empowered bystanders.
