Green Dot Bystander Intervention at UNE
The Green Dot Bystander Initiative is a nationally recognized bystander awareness and intervention program that is . It challenges communities to try new approaches to changing campus culture to help stop power-based personal violence on college campuses and many other communities.
A Green Dot is any behavior, choice, or action that promotes safety and communicates intolerance for violence — your individual choice at any given moment to make our campus safer. It is a training and programming strategy that provides tools for community members to be effective bystanders in an effort to help prevent gender violence.
The 51Æ·²è is excited to implement Green Dot on our campuses and provide opportunities for students, faculty, and professional staff to become empowered bystanders.
Green Dot Events
GREEN DOT STUDENT BYSTanDER TRAINING
- The Office has Bystander Overview presentations (60–90 minutes long) that can be facilitated through Zoom or in person.
- The Green Dot program offers full student bystander training for 3–5 hours. A minimum of 12 participants is required.

- The Office has Bystander Overview presentations (60–90 minutes) that can be facilitated through Zoom or in person.
- The Green Dot program also offers full faculty and professional staff bystander training for 3 hours. A minimum of 12 participants is required.
