New Student FAQ
Once you deposit and we know you want to attend classes at UNE, the Office of Student Engagement will mail you a letter containing necessary information. Depending on when you make your deposit, you will receive your letter five to ten days after. The letter includes the following:
- Your 51品茶ID, your initial password, and your 51品茶email address.
- Instructions on how to sign up for a Trailblazer Summer Orientation trip if you chose.
- Information regarding housing contracts, required University medical forms, waivers, etc.

If your schedule prevents you from attending Orientation, please email orientation@une.edu.
Once you have received your confirmation email from the housing office, you will find links to the housing contract and various required forms which will need to be completed prior to attending Summer Orientation.

To apply for a Living Learning Community (LLC) or Themed Living Community (TLC), please visit our housing portal and complete the application.
These specialized options provide first-year students with an introductory leadership opportunity with specific, themed programs over the course of the academic year.
Parking permits are purchased through the Office of Safety and Security. Residential and commuting students bringing their cars to campus are required to purchase a parking permit.
More information about parking permits and parking incentives will come out in the summer and permits will go on sale in early August. For additional information visit our Safety and Security website.
You will work with your academic advisor before arriving on campus to complete your schedule.

If you are a residential student, you will automatically have a meal plan on your student ID card.
Commuting students have the option to purchase a meal plan to use while you鈥檙e on campus. This can be done on . Once on the website, under the Dining Plans menu select Purchase a Commuter, Faculty, Staff Plan.
Contact the Office of Student Financial Services to see if you鈥檙e eligible for Federal Work Study and to see current on-campus job openings.
